Thomas Dale Vlastuin, 62, of Garfield, Arkansas passed away Saturday October 26th, 2024 in his home. He was born October 1, 1962 in Sioux Center, Iowa to Fred Vlastuin and Ann VanderBoon Vlastuin.

Tom was a man of many skills; he was the go to phone call for so many people anytime they needed help or confirmation. Tom will be remembered by so many for always having an infectious smile. Even on the worst of days he could brighten a room with his loving smile and his booming laugh. He always had open arms that welcomed you with the BEST hugs, he never turned anyone away and has always shown a bottomless generosity for all of those around him. Tom was the definition of a YES man, if you needed a place to sleep, he had a bed and pillow. If you needed food, he would see that you ate more than you have in years. And so many people can agree, that if you needed a shirt, he would give you the one off his back. Most of all, Tom was known for his undeniable and unshakable faith in God. He was quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.

Tom leaves behind his legacy in so many loved ones including his Bride Shelly, who he married on September 10th 1994 and recently celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary. He leaves behind his children; Corey (Soncee) Vlastuin, Alicia (Greg) Pope, Amber (Thomas) McCullough, Melissa (Patrick) Patterson, Austin Strickland Vlastuin, C. Beau (Sara) Strickland, Scott Strickland, Brian (Leandrae) Young, Wyatt (Samantha) Dillbeck, and former son in law Travis Spivey (once family, always family) as well as 32 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren and was excited for the arrival of Great-Grandchild number 5. Tom is also survived by his Mother Ann Vlastuin and siblings John (Helen) Vlastuin, Eleanor (Greg) VandeStouwe, Don (Pete) Vlastuin, Doug (Sheila) Vlastuin, David (Danielle) Vlastuin, Beverly (Kevin) Plantenberg and many many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father; Fred Vlastuin and his brother Marvin Vlastuin.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
