Mrs. Johannes Van Ravenswaay, 80, of Sioux Center, died Monday at the Sioux Center Hospital after a long illness.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. September 8, 1976, at the Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. William Suyker officiated and burial was in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Ravenswaay, the former Everdena Vande Hoef, was born January 28, 1896, in the Netherlands. She came to the U.S. in 1913 and married Johannes Van Ravenswaay on December 30, 1922, at Ireton. The couple lived in the Ireton-Sioux Center area.
Survivors include the widower; one daughter, Joan Van Ravesnwaay of Sioux Center; five sons, Richrd of Ireton, Adrian of Sioux Center; Gerard of Orange City; John of Boca Raton, Fla., and Donald of Chine, Calif.; three brothers, Richard of Los Angeles and Ed and John, both of Ireton; three sisters, Mrs. Bert De Jager, Mrs. Dreka Kool and MRs. Frank Vander Feen, all of Hawarden; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
