BITUARY:

KATERBERG - Joseph Katerberg, age 89, of Jenison, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 10, 2011. He was preceded in death by a stillborn son and five brothers. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth; his eight children, Gretchen (Dirk) Nyenhuis, Jack (Robin) Katerberg, John (Suzanne Katerberg, Marie (Mark) Meurer, Martin (Wendy) Katerberg, Tim Katerberg, Randy (Jessica) Katerberg, and Michelle (Todd) Hill; 27 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one sister; four sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and friends in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands. Joe was best known for his work in landscaping and condominium development. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jenison Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, 1889 Baldwin Dr., Jenison. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Faith Protestant Reformed Church, 7194 20th Ave, Jenison. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Sunset Manor, or a Christian School of your choice.
